Our Mission
At Rhythms of Grace we offer an experience of God's grace and unconditional love through joyful play and the sustenance of sacramental nurture.
Together, we form a unique expression of the Body of Christ.
Our History
We first celebrated a Rhythms of Grace service in 2003 at the request of a parent seeking an alternative worship experience for his autistic son. Delighted at his request, we formed a team of professionals in Christian Formation, Special Education and Sacramental Liturgics and developed a play-based curriculum that honors our Anglican tradition, maintains a dignified liturgy and allows for a lot of fun.
Our Future
We have expanded to multiple sites and continue to seek partners in ministry who are willing to open their doors to this engaging and rewarding mission. Throughout the year, we offer workshops and are available for private consultations. Founders Linda Snyder and the Rev. Audrey Scanlan recently published Rhythms of Grace: A worship and faith-formation curriculum resource
for children with autism. The whole Rhythms of Grace curriculum consists of a 3-year syllabus of More here... |
